Stock Fencing

Stock fences are designed to keep livestock in.

When we specify a stock fence we take into account a number of different factors including:

• What type of animals are to be contained?
• Is only one type of animal going to be in the field?
• What are the local ground conditions?

The answers to these questions determines the size of the posts, post centres, use of barbed wire (and how many rows), type of stock netting to be used.
